Founded by Yasmin Behzadi, Africa Border is transforming lives across Ghana by providing access to education, clean water, and sports opportunities for children.
10+ Years of Humanitarian Work
Founded by Yasmin Behzadi, Sports philanthropist and dedicated mother, Africa Border is a one-woman powered nonprofit organization with over a decade of humanitarian work across Africa.
What began as a personal mission to bring hope to underprivileged communities has grown into a movement that combines education, health initiatives, and sports development to create lasting change.
"As a mother, I see every child in Africa as my own. Their dreams matter, their health matters, and their education matters. This is why Africa Border exists."
- Yasmin Behzadi, Founder
We build libraries and provide scholarships to ensure every child has access to quality education, breaking the cycle of poverty through knowledge.
Through football programs, we promote health, teamwork, and leadership skills while giving children hope and opportunities for a brighter future.
We provide clean water through borehole projects and health education to ensure communities thrive with good health and sanitation.
Providing clean, accessible water to over 3,000 people across five rural communities in Ghana, dramatically improving health and reducing waterborne diseases.
Constructing and stocking libraries for four underserved schools, providing over 2,000 students with access to books and digital learning resources.
Creating a center to empower youth with leadership training, vocational skills, and entrepreneurship programs to foster self-sufficiency and community development.
Supporting brilliant but needy students through scholarships and career guidance, helping them access higher education and professional opportunities.
Scholarship Recipient
"Thanks to Africa Border's scholarship, I'm now studying medicine at the University of Ghana. Without this support, my dream of becoming a doctor would have remained just a dream. Yasmin Behzadi didn't just give me money for school - she gave me hope for my future."
Football Program Participant
"Through Africa Border's football program, I've learned discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills that have changed my life. I was selected for Ghana's U17 women's team last year! The program also helped me stay in school - they provided my uniform and books. Football is more than a game here; it's our path to education and opportunity."
Community Elder
"The borehole Africa Border built in our village has transformed our community. Before, our children would walk miles for water and often miss school. Now, with clean water nearby, attendance has improved, and waterborne diseases have decreased by 70%. Yasmin Behzadi listened to our needs and delivered real solutions."
Teacher
"Our school's new library from Africa Border has revolutionized learning. Before, we had 10 old books shared among 200 students. Now we have a beautiful space with thousands of books and even computers. Reading scores have improved by 40% in just one year. The children's excitement for learning is palpable - they arrive early and stay late just to read!"
